Join Our Team: Lab Assistant – R&D 

Location: Working at one or more of our manufacturing sites all located in Poole, Dorset

Salary: £27,000 per annum 

Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | 40 hours per week 

At PRF Composite Materials, we place product development and innovation at the very forefront of our manufacturing. We are currently recruiting for a Lab Assistant to join our R&D team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a company that has been at the cutting-edge of composite materials for over 40 years. In this role, you’ll work alongside our R&D Chemist to support the development and testing of new materials, maintain accurate data records, and ensure that the lab remains a productive and well-equipped environment. 

What You'll Do: 

• Assist with mechanical and analytical testing of composite materials 

• Manage and present laboratory data professionally 

• Maintain high standards of lab organisation and safety 

• Support the development of innovative new products 

• Help ensure the lab is equipped for testing requirements 

Who We’re Looking For: 

• Degree-level qualification in composites, chemistry or a related field 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint or similar) 

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills 

• Experience with Six Sigma or 8D methodologies is beneficial
