JOB TITLE:              Production Operator

LOCATION:             PRF Composite Materials manufacturing sites in Poole, Dorset

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To support the safe, efficient manufacture of prepreg and unidirectional (UD) materials, ensuring products are produced, inspected, packed and prepared in line with customer requirements, quality standards and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate prepreg and UD production machines in line with work instructions
  • Load and change rolls of fabric, paper and polymer films
  • Mix resins accurately and safely in accordance with approved procedures
  • Pack and label finished products, ensuring correct identification and traceability
  • Carry out visual inspection of prepreg and UD materials during production
  • Complete quality inspection of prepreg samples as required
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised production area and manage waste correctly
  • Prepare materials and equipment ready for the next production day
  • Support compliance with customer quality requirements and ISO 9001 standards
  • Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Report defects, near misses and process issues promptly

JOB TITLE:              Production Quality Inspector

REPORTING TO:    Quality Manager

LOCATION:             Based at PRF, 3 Upton Road, Poole, BH17 7AA

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The role is required to work alongside the production team to ensure all quality aspects are carried out in accordance with our processes and that they meet our customer specifications. This role will ensure production samples are tested and non-conformances are recorded and communicated to key stakeholders in a timely fashion. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect components to a high level of quality in line with our procedures.
  • Ensure all production documentation is fully populated and accurate.
  • Sample checks are conducted and recorded.
  • DSC testing of resin systems.
  • Own the retain samples & storage within the freezer.
  • Visual inspection of product is conducted.
  • Ensure labels are correct and accurately applied to product.
  • Enforce traceability and FIFO/FEFO.
  • Report broken/damaged/missing equipment, tools & devices.
  • Audit cleanliness of production area.
  • Assist with R&D activities when required.
  • Able to meet schedule/timelines in conjunction with the rest of the team.
  • Fixability across this section to aid production.
