About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our 4 composite engineering manufacturing facilities. This is a key leadership role, requiring a proven track record in operations management within the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and optimise all operational processes, including production, planning, logistics, and health & safety.
  • Be responsible for the early morning opening of the facility, ensuring full readiness for daily operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure delivery against KPIs.
  • Manage budgets, resource planning, and cost control to align with company financial goals.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the production and operations teams, ensuring a strong culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Collaborate closely with product development, quality, sales, and senior leadership teams to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards, particularly in relation to health, safety, environmental standards and quality.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and support scaling operations as the business continues to grow.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5–7 years' experience in operations management within manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrable leadership in managing teams, processes, and change in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, supply chain, and quality systems.
  • Experience of managing operations for a business that has a turnover in excess of £10m.
  • Must live locally and be comfortable with early morning starts and unlocking/opening of the facility.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
