PRF exhibits at JEC World 2026
PRF Composite Materials was proud to be part of a strong cohort of innovative, leading UK manufacturers at JEC World 2026, where we experienced a consistently busy and engaging show. Our stand welcomed a high volume of visitors from across the global composites industry, all keen to learn more about our latest developments and technologies.
Continuing our drive to reduce cost- and energy-per-part, we showcased our class-leading eXpress cure and REEPREG prepreg systems, alongside a range of innovative materials introduced to the market in 2025.
Among the highlights were aircraft interior parts manufactured using our ultra-fast, recycled RP570 FR REEPREG, as well as carbon tools produced with our patented prepreg tooling technologies, Q.tool and Q.tool recycled. Developed using our RP800 epoxy tooling system, Q.tool features a unique fabric architecture that delivers excellent drapeability and surface finish, while typically achieving around a 50% reduction in both time and cost of carbon tool manufacture compared to conventional 1:8:1 systems, with debulks reduced to as few as one.
Q.tool recycled—shortlisted for the Composites UK Innovation in Materials Industry Award 2025—offers the same performance benefits while replacing 40% of virgin carbon fibre with recycled carbon fibre nonwoven, without compromising quality, handleability, or drape.
We also highlighted our RP5365 mid-temperature cure component prepreg system, launched in October 2025 following over a year of testing. With an out life of one year (365 days) at 20°C, RP5365 has been developed to virtually eliminate the need for freezing or refrigeration, while maintaining standard curing characteristics and strong mechanical properties for structural applications. This provides clear advantages for storage, transportation, and manufacturing—particularly in warmer climates where out life management can be challenging.
In addition, we were pleased to update visitors on our fully operational Product Development and Innovation Centre, as well as the continued expansion of our kitting capabilities, including the commissioning of a fifth CNC machine at our dedicated Kitting and Preforming Centre.
